Tomia Island

Tomia Hill Viewpoint
It is a lot to explore on Tomia. Fishermen live along the south coast, in the middle of the island you will find farmers, all in small villages. All villages have something special. The south coast is more urban, one village after another along the street, the north east is wilder. Live goes slow on the island, nobody is in hurry. In the beautiful remote eastern part of the island you can find the Eco Village Kulati.
72 years old Papa Tua tries to run his vision about a good life for people and nature, a project supported by WWF. At the coastline nearby you can find some nice view points from the high cliffs down to the sea.
Lamangau Island nearby Tomia has an expensive Luxery Dive Resort and a beautiful Village of the Bajo people, former sea gipsies. The boat to Lamangau village goes from Waitii, 5000 Rupia per Person.
Tomia is a high lifted coral island, at the 300 m high Viewpoint TOMIA you can look at the  5 neighbor islands. In the center of Tomia, you can visit old castles and cemeteries.
The island has many hidden beautiful beaches, which only can be reached by boat or climbing. Big caves you can find near x village.
Shops with small offers, a few warungs and markets you can find spread over the island. Waha has a Karaoke Bar at Selly Beach, a very nice place built over the cliffs, especially to have a Bintang beer at sunset.
